I was standing in the center of the stage, setting up a camera, when the 6 singers started shouting:
“Si algún día me ven perdío, amarrarme a mi guitarra!”
(If you ever see me lost, tie me to my guitar!).
I instantly broke into tears. I’m not gonna lie, it’s been hard af lately, losing people sucks. But this film made me realize, how directing and creating always pulled me up when I’ve been down, and will ALWAYS do. When things go wrong, I find shelter in art.
Dedicated to my grandmother Lola, I’m sure it’s beautiful up there,
To my godfather Mario Cavallero, which introduced me to flamenco.
